On the afternoon of October 8, Hue College of Tourism coordinated with Cholimex Foods to hold a contest titled “Finding Hue’s Culinary Ambassador - Season 6” with the theme “Hue Cuisine in the Green Flow - Creativity for Sustainable Development”.

When the theme for World Tourism Day (September 27, 2025) was chosen as “Tourism and sustainable transformation”, many people immediately thought of Hue’s approach to tourism. In its development orientation, Hue tourism consistently focuses on promoting sustainable transformation, especially transitioning to green, sustainable tourism, adapting to climate change.

In response to the series of activities within the framework of the Autumn Festival themed “Hue in Autumn” of the National Tourism Year and Hue Festival 2025, the Department of Tourism, in coordination with Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the People’s Committee of Phu Xuan Ward, is preparing a variety of exciting programs for locals and visitors. Among them, the most anticipated highlight is the Unicorn-Lion-Dragon Dance Festival, Hue Unicorn dance performances, and the Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade through the streets in 2025.

On the journey to building Vietnam into a reputable destination for medical tourism and healthcare services in the region and the world, Hue holds many advantages to develop and position its brand name as a destination for medical - healthcare tourism.

On the afternoon of September 29, the “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam” project (TVA project), in collaboration with Hue Tourism College, held the launch ceremony of the Sustainable Tourism Vocational Training Center and sign a training cooperation agreement at Villa Hue Hotel.

Shopping is considered a supplementary factor that enhances the travel experience for tourists. The integration of shopping centers and tourism with shopping activities, art performances, and travel experiences creates new opportunities for Hue to attract and “retain” visitors.

On the morning of September 27, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen Province and Thai Nguyen Tourism Association, in coordination with Hue City Department of Tourism, organized a program to promote and advertise tourism of Thai Nguyen Province in Hue City.

On the evening of September 26, Hue City Tourism Association, in coordination with the Hue City Hotel Association and Hue Tourism College, organized the closing ceremony, summary, and award ceremony for the 2025 Receptionist Skills Competition; and a gala dinner.

The working session between Hue City leaders and the Korean delegation affirmed both sides’ commitment to strengthening comprehensive cooperation, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam - Korea friendship.

On the morning of September 25, the City Tourism Association in collaboration with Hotel Association, and Hue College of Tourism held the 2025 Receptionist Skills Competition for officers and receptionists working at hotels and accommodations in the city area.
