The annual April 30th reunion of our middle school friends from Thanh Thuy Ward had a special highlight this year. Before heading to Vinh Thanh beach (Phu Vinh Commune), we made a detour to visit the Thuan An overpass bridge on the very day of its official technical opening. There, we shared in the joy of a large crowd of local residents who were seeing this modern bridge with their own eyes for the first time after years of waiting.

On the afternoon of May 10, the opening ceremony of Hue Student Football Tournament (Hue Students SV7 2026 - Intrase Cup), organized by Hue University, took place at the artificial turf field complex of Chi Lang High School.

The principal of Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted announced that Hue City has three 12th-grade students exempted from the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination and granted priority direct admission to universities and colleges. All three students are from Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted.

Nearly 200 high school students took part in an “outdoor lesson” right within a heritage space, where historical knowledge was accessed through games, challenges, and hands-on experience, making it more vivid and easier to remember.

The National Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Club Championship 2026 officially opened on the morning of May 2 at the Square opposite Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted. On this occasion, outstanding athletes and coaches were awarded prestigious honors by the State.

Stage 9 “Phu Xuan - Da Vien” of the 38th National Cycling Tournament “Non song lien mot dai” (“A unified country”) - 2026, officially kicked off on the morning of April 12 at the square in front of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted.

On the morning of April 11, at Secret Affairs Institute - Tam Toa Complex, Hue Monuments Conservation Center, in coordination with Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, Hai Ba Trung High School, and Nguyen Hue High School, organized a heritage education program titled “Reforms of Emperor Minh Mang”, in celebration of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21).

According to the results of the 2026 national team selection exam for international and regional Olympiads, Phan Cong Dung, an 11th grade Informatics major student at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, has been selected for the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) team.

From March 25 to 27, the Ministry of Education and Training holds the national selection exams for high school students to join Vietnam’s teams for the 2026 international and regional Olympiads.

On March 14, in Da Nang City, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), in collaboration with the National Traffic Safety Committee and Honda Vietnam Company, organized the closing and awarding ceremony for the “Traffic Safety” Contest for the academic year 2025 - 2026, held for primary, secondary, and high school students and teachers nationwide.
