On August 28, 1945, the people gathered at the Hue stadium for a rally to welcome the Central Delegation, which proclaimed the nationwide triumph of the General Uprising and introduced the National Liberation Committee as the Provisional Revolutionary Government, led by Comrade Ho Chi Minh as President.

On the afternoon of August 29th, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, met and worked with a delegation from Chungcheongnam Province (South Korea), led by Governor Kim Tae Heum.

Starting on September 9, the method of welcoming and serving visitors to the The To Mieu relic site (Hue Imperial Citadel), where the Nguyen Dynasty emperors are worshiped, will be changed. Accordingly, visitors will no longer be allowed going inside the building. Instead, they will be able to visit, explore, and offer incense from the outside.

A friend of mine just came from the Southeastern region to visit Hue. As the old saying goes, “vải Trạng cung Diên, nhãn lồng Phụng Tiên” (Trang Lychees from the Cung Dien area; spathe-wrapped longans from Phung Tien, a former royal garden district). Today, Hue’s longan season still preserves its original sweetness, enticing those passing the ancient citadel to pause and savor the taste.

The “Hue Sports Festival” 2025, a community health-centered sports event, took place from July 12 to August 4. At this point, we can affirm that the event not only demonstrated the effectiveness of sports socialization but also laid a foundation for important future goals.

On August 4th, the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Sciences, Hue University, in coordination with the “Song de tim nhau” (“Live to find each other”) volunteer club (Ho Chi Minh City) and the Youth Union of Long Quang Commune, donated school supplies and essential goods to students in this underprivileged area.
