On August 9th, the provincial Dental Hospital announced that the unit is collaborating with Operation Smile Vietnam to carry out a smile surgery program for children with cleft lip and cleft palate.

On the morning of July 28, the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam”, funded by the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) - Norway (through the WWF - Vietnam), received by Hue City People's Committee, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism, organized the inauguration of 5 waiting lounges and free water stations at tourist destinations, including: Thien Mu Pagoda, Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Ban Nguyet Bridge - Me Wharf, Vong Canh Hill, and Sinh Village wrestling area (Hue City).

Over 150 highland residents from Nam Dong and A Luoi received free cataract surgeries, returning to their daily lives. This is the result of two meaningful volunteer surgery missions led by Professor Hattori Tadashi from Hue Eye Hospital and other humanitarian organizations.

On June 18, a free reading station was launched on the train connecting heritages between Hue and Da Nang, featuring around 150 books set up by the Provincial Development Research Institute in collaboration with other units and projects.

On May 4, the Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with the Hue Central Hospital; and the Military Hospital 268, Military Region 4, to organize the 2024 Military-Civilian-Medical program, providing health examinations, consultations, and free medicine distribution to people in the border area of Vinh Hien commune (Phu Loc).

On the morning of April 24th, Hue University in collaboration with Friedrich Naumann Foundation (Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF)) organized an international workshop with the theme “Gender and the Role of Women in Smart Cities and Climate Change Adaptation".

In a recent exchange highlighting the province's efforts to focus on infrastructure development, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized the goal of investing in infrastructure, particularly in ports, industrial zones, and customs-free zones, to serve production and business development.

On the afternoon of March 17, at 3/2 Park, Thua Thien Hue Music Association coordinated with the Vietnam Musicians Association’s branch in Thua Thien Hue province to organize a free music night themed "Remembering Trinh Cong Son".

Collaboration plays a crucial role in promoting tourism development. In 2024, as the leader of the tourism development partnership among five localities in Central Vietnam, Thua Thien Hue province will propose and implement various solutions to enhance the effectiveness of collaboration, promote tourism, and contribute to the development of the smoke-free industry.

On January 17, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital shared that they had started the registrations for free surgeries for cleft lip - palate and congenital facial deformities.
