The exhibition officially opened on August 28th at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi). General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the opening ceremony.
Also present were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, along with many current and former leaders of the Party, the State, ministries, agencies, localities, and representatives of enterprises participating in the exhibition.
Alongside the exhibition spaces of other units, Hue City’s corner was designed with its own distinctive theme: “Hue - Heritage, Identity, and Green Development Vision”.
With a display area of more than 600m², Hue City’s exhibition space presented to the public and international friends a comprehensive view of the city’s history, culture, identity, and development orientation. It highlighted Hue as a land with more than 700 years of history, a convergence of national cultural essences, and Vietnam’s first heritage city.
The exhibition space was organized into five interconnected sections: Hue – From ancient city to modern city; Hue - Heritage city; Hue - The Capital of Ao Dai; Experience space and OCOP products; Hue - Green and sustainable City.
On this occasion, Hue City also introduced a culinary exhibition themed “Royal Quintessence - Flavors of the Ancient Capital”, showcasing refined royal dishes of great artistry and sophistication once served in imperial palaces, alongside rustic and rich in identity local cuisine.
On the night of September 2nd, also at the central exhibition space, there will be a Hue Art Night, presenting the essence of traditional and contemporary performance arts imbued with Hue’s cultural identity.
According to representatives of Hue City’s Department of Culture and Sports, participation in the exhibition not only affirms Hue’s position as a distinctive cultural and tourism center of Vietnam but also conveys the aspiration to build a sustainable, environmentally friendly city harmonizing past and future.
