In 2000, in the short piece entitled “Hue Diary,” written when he returned for the first Hue Festival, musician Trinh Cong Son wrote, “When you have a place to return, or to visit from time to time, you are very fortunate. There, you have a river, a mountain, and you can find again your old friends whose hair used to be black has now turned grey. You might suddenly meet a Hue girl on the street and ask her, ‘Is there anything new in Hue now?’ And immediately, or perhaps by chance, she will recite the two lines from a poem by Bui Giang: “Da thua xu Hue bay gio/ Van con nui Ngu ben bo song Huong” (“Yes, sir, Hue now/ Still has Ngu Mount by the Huong river…”)

Amid the rhythm of modern life, as fashion becomes increasingly diverse and is constantly changing, the traditional ao-dai continues to remain a lasting presence in the lives of women in the former imperial capital. In Hue, the graceful image of women’s association members wearing Ao-dai is not only a symbol of beauty but also a way of preserving and spreading the traditional cultural values of their homeland.

On March 19th, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung, along with members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, including Head of the Internal Affairs Commission Dang Ngoc Tran, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh, and leaders of relevant departments and sectors, held a working session to inspect the construction progress of boarding inter-level schools (primary and lower secondary) in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes.

On the afternoon of March 18, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee, chaired a meeting to review the city’s economic growth performance, along with growth scenarios for the first quarter and the whole of 2026. The 2026 National Beach Wrestling Championship took place from March 8 to 15 in Bac Ninh, bringing together nearly 600 male and female athletes from 21 provinces, cities, and sectors. Competitors contested 54 weight categories in both the championship and youth championship divisions.
