From August 19 to 21, Hue Central Hospital hosted the 2nd International Thalassemia Conference, gathering 25 international delegates from 12 countries along with over 200 domestic doctors and experts.

On the morning of August 17, in Khe Tre Commune, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly, the Thien Tam Fund (Vingroup), and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, in coordination with Saigon Eye Hospital - Song Han, held a humanitarian eye-screening program for ethnic minority people in the two mountainous communes of Khe Tre and Long Quang.

On August 12th in Hue City, Nguyen Chi Thanh School of Politics held a seminar to exchange experience in personnel training and professional development with a delegation from the Schools of Politics and Public Administration of Salavan, Sekong, Champasak, and Savannakhet provinces in Laos.

“Chan May - Lang Co needs to be developed into a growth hub for industry, logistics, services and tourism in Hue City and the central region. Every decision on infrastructure investment must focus on long-term effectiveness, synchronization, and a clear roadmap, while having the capacity to create breakthroughs in socio-economic development,” Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh emphasized that at a meeting with the Department of Industry and Trade and the Management Board of Hue City Economic and Industrial Zones on August 12 to discuss infrastructure investment in economic zones, industrial parks, and industrial clusters, as well as investment attraction.

From August 10 to 12, a team of staff from the Faculty of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University) collaborated with a team of doctors from Hue Central Hospital to successfully carry out a series of trials of an automated surgical robotic arm system on an animal model (pigs).

On the morning of August 11, leaders of Hue Central Hospital said the hospital had held a discharge ceremony for patient N.T.L., 34, from Quang Ngai Province, who recently underwent the hospital’s 24th heart transplant. After nearly two months of intensive treatment, the patient has made a good recovery, with stable health indicators, and was deemed fit to return home.

On the afternoon of August 7, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang, together with representatives of departments and agencies, had a meeting and working session with a delegation of South Korean businesses led by Ms. Greene Heather, Visiting Professor and Chief Consulting Expert at Hue Central Hospital.

On August 7, Hue Central Hospital coordinated with Yonsei Wonju Health System, Gangwon Technopark, Kangwon National University Hospital, along with various South Korean healthcare technology experts, to hold a seminar on ‘Digital Healthcare - Applying Vietnam - South Korea Artificial Intelligence’.

On August 6th, Quang Dien Commune Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee, in coordination with Hue Central Hospital Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center, organized the second voluntary blood donation campaign of 2026.

“Hue City is committed to standing alongside businesses by fostering a transparent, convenient, and stable investment environment, while promptly addressing challenges and obstacles so that investors can confidently establish a long-term presence in the city”. That was the message delivered by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, and Head of the city's National Assembly Delegation, at an investment promotion discussion between Hue City and Chinese enterprises held on the afternoon of July 29th.
