On the afternoon of September 30, Hue Central Hospital held a ceremony to announce the implementation of electronic medical records. This was a significant event, marking a new milestone in the digital transformation of healthcare, aiming towards a paperless smart hospital model. It was also part of the activities to celebrate the 17th Congress of Hue City Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term and the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

On the afternoon of September 29, the “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam” project (TVA project), in collaboration with Hue Tourism College, held the launch ceremony of the Sustainable Tourism Vocational Training Center and sign a training cooperation agreement at Villa Hue Hotel.

On the morning of September 29, Hue Central Hospital held the opening ceremony of the 20th Vietnam-Australia Hand Surgery Training Course, designed for surgeons, surgical residents specializing in General Surgery, postgraduate students, as well as doctors and rehabilitation technicians all over the country.

On September 26th - 27th, the 2025 National Scientific Conference on Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (A&R) took place in Hue City, co-organized by Vietnam Society of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Hue City Department of Health, Hue Central Hospital, and the Hospital of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The event brought together more than 1.000 doctors, specialists, scientists, postgraduate students from Vietnam and abroad, along with representatives of healthcare enterprises.

On September 25, the “Hue - A plastic-reduced smart city in Central Vietnam” project (TVA project), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, held a workshop to evaluate the waste sorting at source program in Hue City. The event also aimed to disseminate the environmental protection under the two-tier local government model.

At the end of August 2025, Hue Central Hospital organized the first “Proton Therapy in Vietnam” workshop. This event is considered an important step toward realizing the plan to build three proton therapy centers at three institutions: K Hospital (Hanoi), Hue Central Hospital, and Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City).

Recently, on the central streets of the city and along the Huong River, many people have noticed cyclos painted in Grab's signature green, with the brand’s logo and QR identification codes. This pilot program is being carried out under a cooperation agreement between Hue City and Grab Vietnam, with a group of cyclo drivers receiving support for vehicle repainting, uniforms, and identification accessories.

On the afternoon of September 8, Hue Central Hospital held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Vu Quynh C. (6 years old, from Bac Ninh), who had just successfully undergone an allogeneic bone marrow transplant to treat Thalassemia. This was the hospital’s 11th Thalassemia bone marrow transplant, and notably the first case in Vietnam using marrow donated by the patient’s biological mother.

Alongside promotional activities in several European countries, Hue City’s tourism sector has teamed up with Da Nang to present Central Vietnam tourism in general and that of Hue in particular to the tourism markets of Malaysia and Indonesia. These are considered traditional and promising sources of tourists for Hue.

On the evening of August 25th, at Nghinh Lương Dinh (Nghinh Luong Pavilion - Phu Xuan Ward), under the direction of the Central Youth Union, the Youth Union of Hue City, in collaboration with VMAS, organized the program “Chuyen xe Tu hao Việt Nam” (Proud Vietnam Journey) - with Hue as one of its stops.
