The art of making reliefs appeared in Hue thousands of years ago. It flourished brilliantly in the 17th century along with copper casting and Hue porcelain mosaics on the complex of relics in Hue ancient capital. In the 21st century, painters and skillful artisans in Hue contributed to the development of the art.

There are more than two months left until late 2024, but it can be confirmed that Thua Thien Hue's women's wrestling has had a brilliant year of success with the top position in many leading national tournaments.

A tea tray, a smoking pipe, and a set of Chinese books donated by Emperor Ham Nghi’s descendants have been officially gifted to Hue and Quang Trị. These items were handed over by the Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum to representatives of Hue Monuments Conservation Center and the People’s Committee of Cam Lo District, Quang Tri Province.

On the evenings of October 19 and 20, nearly 1,000 spectators gathered at the Song Huong Theater to immerse themselves in a music night themed “Hue Symphony - The Symphony of the Ancient Capital”. On the afternoon of October 18th, the Provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony to summarize and present the 1st Hue Ancient Capital Women’s Creativity Award (2024) to 15 authors and group of authors who are the leaders of excellent works/groups of works of award-winning caliber.

At the 7th Ancient Capital Literature and Arts Awards, musician Le Quang Vu (born in 1968) with his Symphony Poetry “Green City along the Perfume River” won the A prize in the music category. That being said, he is also known by the musicians in particular and music lovers in general as the “conductor” of Hue Brass Orchestra.

On October 5th, the Vietnam Digital Media Association and VietTimes e-magazine held the Vietnam Digital Awards 2024 ceremony in Hanoi. Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC) was honored in the category of Outstanding digital transformation by public service and business units with its solution “Applying digital technology to conserve and promote the values of Hue’s heritage.”

In Hue, not many people play the Western saxophone because this musical instrument is not only difficult in terms of technique but also requires a lot of health. With a powerful but melodious saxophone sound and a confident performance style, Nguyen Huynh Thai Binh, a second-year student majoring in Western musical instrument performance at the Hue Academy of Music, is a rising young star of the saxophone world in the Ancient Capital.

Recently, luxury travelers and the ultra-rich have shown increased interest in Vietnam as a travel destination; and, Thua Thien Hue is among the locations catching their attention. Beyond its natural beauty, high-quality services are a top priority to attract these affluent tourists.

Although he did not study art from a young age, Le Trung Kien quickly became one of the standout names among the young artists of the ancient capital city. Making an impression at the 7th Ancient Capital Literature and Art Awards, Le Trung Kien, born in 1993, is one of the “young factors” that the “pillars” of the ancient capital’s artistic community believe will be the “sweet fruit” of Thua Thien Hue’s fine arts.
