Responding to “Moving forward with Vietnam”:

Hue is expected to witness nearly 4.000 participants

 “Moving forward with Vietnam” is an opportunity to showcase and commend the forces, the strength of unity, aiming to realize the national goal of “Strong Citizen – Prosperous Nation” and achieve Net Zero

Accordingly, at 6:00 a.m., on August 8, in the Capital City of Hanoi, a National Flag Raising Ceremony will take place, accompanied by the simultaneous singing of the National Anthem. Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security will give the order to begin the walk, which will be broadcast live to 34 locations in provinces and cities nationwide, marching together for a united, strong, and sustainable Vietnam.

In Hue City, a walking event is to take place at the area in front of Nghinh Luong Dinh (Phu Xuan Ward), organized by the City’s People’s Committee. The event is expected to attract nearly 4,000 participants, including delegates, officers, and soldiers of the armed forces, civil servants, public employees, youth, students, and a large number of local residents from neighboring wards.

The walking route in response to the campaign “Moving forward with Vietnam” will start at Nghinh Luong Dinh stage and go through the following streets: Le Duan, Cua Ngan, Doan Thi Diem, Dang Thai Than, Le Huan, 23/8, Cua Quang Duc, and back to Le Duan.

Additionally, based on their local circumstances, the remaining wards and communes in the city will organize walking activities in response, contributing to realizing the goal of the “1 Billion Steps toward the New Era” event.

“Moving forward with Vietnam” is a community event organized by the Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with Nhan Dan Newspaper. It is held to continue to promote the patriotic spirit, the tradition of unity, and further nurture the development aspirations of Vietnamese people. Furthermore, it also aims at spreading confidence, pride, and a strong determination to rise up across the city. At the same time, it is a practical celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam People’s Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), and the 20th anniversary of the National Day of All People Protecting National Security (August 19, 2005 – August 19, 2025).

Moreover, efforts will continue to mobilize and encourage resources to promote the movements “The Entire People Exercise Following the Example of Great President Ho Chi Minh” and “Stay Healthy to Build and Defend the Fatherland”, fostering the habit of walking and contributing to reducing carbon emissions into the environment. Through this series of activities, the aim is to further strengthen the unity of the entire population, enhance the close bond between People’s Public Security officers and the people, and build the image of People’s Public Security officers as admirable figures in the hearts of the people.

“Moving forward with Vietnam” is also a great opportunity to showcase and commend the forces, the strength of unity, aiming to realize the national goal of “Strong Citizen – Prosperous Nation” and achieve Net Zero.
