At noon on April 29, beach wrestling at the 6th Asian Beach Games (ABG6) - 2026 officially concluded. Two female wrestlers from Hue wrestling team made notable contributions to the overall success of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at this year’s Games.

According to the results of the 2026 national team selection exam for international and regional Olympiads, Phan Cong Dung, an 11th grade Informatics major student at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, has been selected for the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) team.

Tam Giang - Cau Hai Lagoon system in Hue City is the largest brackish water ecosystem in Southeast Asia, stretching 68 km, covering a total water surface area of approximately 216 km2. As part of the 5th Regional Conference of Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC) - Asia-Pacific Region, the discussion session on the afternoon of October 15th became one of the most notable highlights of the event. The exchange focused on policies, management experience, and solutions to improve quality of life in cities endowed with unique heritage values.

After three days of active and effective working, the 5th Organization of World Heritage Cities Asia-Pacific (OWHC-AP) Regional Conference officially concluded on October 16. The event brought together more than 50 delegates from 7 countries, including mayors, experts, and representatives of member cities in the region.

On the afternoon of October 14th, as part of sidelines activities of the 5th Regional Conference of the Organization of World Heritage Cities - Asia-Pacific Region (OWHC-AP), Hue City Department of Education and Training organized a World Heritage Quiz Competition in the form of a Rung Chuong Vang (“Ring the Golden Bell”) game for local high school students.

The first international flight of the year 2024 just landed at Phu Bai International Airport on January 10th, carrying 226 Korean passengers who have come to visit and experience Hue.
