“Reading - experiencing in Hue cultural space” is an interesting activity organized by Ly Thuong Kiet Primary School in collaboration with Hue Book and Culture Club, on the morning of January 11 at 23 - 25 Le Loi Street.

“Can Vuong Tremendous Spirit” was a program held by Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, and Ham Nghi Secondary School on January 1 at the exhibition space “Emperor Ham Nghi: Life and Arts” at Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities. Attending the program were 130 students from Ham Nghi Secondary School and Quoc Hoc Hue High school for the Gifted.

On the evening of January 11th, in Trung Son Commune (A Luoi District), the Border Guard Command of Hue City, in collaboration with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, organized the flagship program “Border Spring warms the people’s hearts” in celebration of the At Ty Lunar New Year - 2025.

Gia Hoi old quarter, located to the east outside the Citadel, was once the most bustling area in Hue Imperial Capital in the early 19th century. Today, this town, part of Gia Hoi ward (Phu Xuan district), is facing urbanization and the challenge of balancing between preservation and development. So, how will Gia Hoi develop and progress?

On the morning of January 1, Hue City Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Central Region Airport Authority at Phu Bai International Airport, Phu Bai International Airport, and the Vietnam Airlines branch in Hue, along with Pacific Airlines organized a program to welcome the first flight and visitors to Hue City in 2025. On November 30, 2024, the National Assembly passed the Resolution to establish Hue City under the Central Government from January 1, 2025, and the Resolution on the restructuring of district and commune-level administrative units of Hue City, in the 2023 - 2025 period. Hue City (under Thua Thien Hue Province) will be divided into two districts: Phu Xuan and Thuan Hoa.

Decision No. 3979/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 10, 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recognized the “Van Cu noodle-making craft” being in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List under the Traditional Handicraft category. This serves as a foundation for building an intangible cultural heritage profile with a national and international vision for Bun Hue (Hue noodles) culinary heritage in the coming time.

On December 19, Hue Central Hospital held a discharge ceremony for the 3rd and 4th allogeneic bone marrow transplant patients with congenital hemolytic anemia, as well as the 40th neuroblastoma transplant patient.

On December 20th, the Provincial Employment Service Center, in collaboration with the Action to the Community Development Center (ACDC), organized a job fair for people with disabilities (PWD) under the theme “Opportunities for Everyone”. This event is part of the Inclusion 1 project, funded by USAID, which aims to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities in areas heavily affected by Agent Orange during the war.
