The VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025 officially kicked off on the morning of April 6th, with the starting point at Phu Van Lau (Le Duan Street). A record-breaking participation of 12,000 runners was recorded at this fifth edition of the large-scale marathon in the Ancient Capital.

Along with pho, bun rieu, bun cha ca, banh canh, and others, bun bo Hue (Hue beef noodle soup) is one of the delicious Vietnamese dishes featured in the “Top 100 best soups in the world” list, recently announced by the renowned culinary website Taste Atlas.

On the afternoon of April 4, information from the Department of Tourism said that, based on the assessment of visitor arrivals to Hue during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, the number of visitors to Hue City is forecast to increase sharply.

Spreading the message “Convergence and Shine”, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2025, taking place from April 3 to 6, has the participation of over 100 stalls of 42 provinces, cities, and 32 travel agencies, transportation companies, and airlines.

On the afternoon of April 1st, Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh hosted a courtesy meeting with Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Sarah Hooper.

On March 31, Hue Dental Hospital announced that its Department of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, in collaboration with Resurge International (US), will provide free reconstructive surgery for 100 cases of congenital deformities.

“The failure at the 100-mile distance (equivalent to 160km) at the Vietnam Mountain Marathon in December 2024 has only driven me to set new goals in Ultra Mountain Marathon, with a strong resolve to rise from failure,” Nguyen Thi Ngot, a Hue-born runner ranked among the top 10 female amateur marathoners in Vietnam for the 42.195km distance, shared her plans for 2025.

In Hue City, the number of conductors is not high, and formally trained conductors are even fewer, with currently only one person: Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nhu Y (born 1987), who works at the Department of Composition, Conducting, and Musicology at the Hue Academy of Music.
