According to history in 1470, after the great victory over the Cham forces during the reign of King Le Thanh Tong (1460 – 1497), Marquis Hoang Minh Hung (from Cam Quyet, Quynh Luu, Nghe An), responded to the call of the court, and, along with 11 people from the Doan, Ho, Le Ngoc, Le Trong, Luong Thanh, Nguyen Phuoc, Nguyen Ba, Nguyen Duy, Phan Cong, Truong Cong, and Tran Ngoc families, moved to Con Duong to explore the land and establish a settlement. Remembering their origins, they named their second homeland Cam Quyet. During the Nguyen Lords' era, the village name was changed to Phuoc Giang, then to Hoang Giang during the Tay Son period, and finally to Phuoc Tich in the early Gia Long reign, hoping that blessings would be accumulated for generations of descendants.
