About 40km north of Hue City, Phuoc Tich ancient village is located in Phong Hoa commune, Phong Dien district. This is the second village in Vietnam to be recognized as a National Artistic Architectural Monument in 2009.

The “Romantic features in the ancient village”painting contest, organized by the project supportingViet Nam’s social impact business ecosystemin response to COVID-19 (ISEE-COVID) in collaboration with the Department of Planning and Investment, is currently running from June 30th to July 13th, 2024, at Phuoc Tich ancient village, Phong Hoa commune, Phong Dien district.

The ancient ruong houses, river wharfs from afar, the ancient gold apple tree (Diospyros decandra) and the flaming pottery kiln of Phuoc Tich ancient village became shimmering and poetic when being painted. From real-life objects to becoming a painting, these scenes contained a lot of painters’ emotions and vibration about a so-called rare ancient village of Vietnam.

The exhibition displayed 38 artworks by 37 authors who were also lecturers and students from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Sciences; The University of Arts, Hue University, and other high schools in Phong Dien district.

According to the People's Committee of Phong Dien District, a running race themed "The scents of an ancient village - Happy Footsteps" will be held on November 27, organized by Hue Running Club in collaboration with the Management Board of Phuoc Tich Ancient Village’s Art and Architectural Monuments.

"Old Scent of the Ancient Village" (Hương xưa làng cổ) is a festival held within the framework of Hue Festival since the first festivals. The efforts to become a private brand will give the community tourism in Phuoc Tich more openings for development

On the morning of May 21, at Phuoc Tich Ancient Village (Phong Dien District), the Management Board of Architectural Relics and Art of Phuoc Tich Ancient Village organized the " Old Scent of the Ancient Village" market 2022.
