Welcoming the first passengers to Hue by air
The welcoming ceremony for the first tourists to Thua Thien Hue by air in 2018 was held by Hue tourism sector in collaboration with Vietnam Airlines JSC, Vietnam Airlines Representative Office in Hue, Airport Authority of Central Vietnam in Thua Thien Hue and Phu Bai International Airport on the morning of January 1.
The first passenger coming to Hue in 2018 by air is Mr. Allicock Stephangary from the United States. Allicock Stephangary was lucky to receive a special domestic round-trip ticket valid in 2018 from Vietnam Airlines. In addition, the other passengers going on this flight were also given flowers, souvenirs, Hue handicraft products, and enjoyed a traditional Unicorn dance performance.
The welcoming ceremony for the first tourists to Thua Thien Hue by air is one of the annual activities, beginning the chain of events of images and tourism promotion in the area. Mr. Le Huu Minh, Acting Director of Tourism Department said that, with the activity on the first day of the New Year, the tourism sector expects to express the hospitality and friendliness of the old Capital, making a good impression on tourists to Hue.
