Hue City to launch "Green Sunday" project on January 20

HNN.VN - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh has just agreed to select Sunday, January 20, to be the launching day for the implementation of "Green Sunday" project at 3/2 Park, Le Loi Street, Hue city.

At the launching ceremony, the Organization Board will present a youth volunteer team  to participate in building a civilized urban lifestyle, sign a commitment to implement the project, send off groups to come out to clean the environment on and along the banks of the Huong River; organize propaganda teams and re-establish order and civilized urban lifestyle in some main roads in Hue city.

This is the first activity in the implementation of the project "Green Sunday" - "Take action for a greener, cleaner and more beautiful Thua Thien Hue" to be deployed by the provincial People's Committee for a long time.

Accordingly, all levels and authorities mobilize deeply all people, organizations, agencies, units and enterprises to implement the contents of the project, reaching the goal of 100% organizations and enterprises, individuals and households change their awareness on environmental protection; ensuring environmental hygiene; not encroaching on roadways and pavements which obstructs traffic as well as loses the urban and rural beauty.

This project also build a number of pilot models to replicate them throughout the province. For example, there are the models such as "One individual - One green tree", "Hue - a city with 4 seasons of flowers", "The fresh Huong river", "The bright, clean and beautiful routes with order and security" and "Streets without ads and classified ads", etc ...
