More drastic in urban order management and environmental protection

In the first six months of this year, the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Hue city directed the departments and sectors, the People's Committees of wards to implement assigned tasks drastically and synchronously.

Tourism revenue reached over VND 1,471 billion, increasing by 21% over the same period; value of industrial and cottage industrial production reached VND 3,830 billion, growing by nearly 13%; total retail sales of goods and services revenue reached over VND 14,680 billion, increasing by 11%; total budget revenue reached nearly VND 600 billion, up by 0.01%.

In a speech at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu appreciated the drastic efforts of Hue city in the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first six months of 2018. Besides, he proposed the Party Committee, the People's Council, and the People's Committee of Hue city to focus and be more drastic in the management of urban order and environmental protection. These are two key issues to build Hue into a smart, clean and beautiful city, helping the development of tourism – services sectors.

According to Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu, in the coming time, the province will have a mechanism to focus on developing the core area of the city and gradually reduce spreading investment to improve investment efficiency; thus, the city should actively develop strategies for urban economic development to capture and implement immediately the provincial development policies. On the other hand, it is necessary to step up administrative reforms, continue to well carry out the work of building strong contingent of officials and political system, meeting the development demands of a central city.
