HNN.VN - On the morning of November 26, doctors of Hue Central Hospital (HCH) claimed that, in order to develop on a regional and international level, HCH was currently provided by the Ministry of Health with a system of 3D endoscopy with plenty of innovation in comparison with traditional equipment.

This is an opportunity for safe and effective patient care.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep, Director of Hue Central Hospital said that 3D laparoscopic surgery will help the surgeons see the surgical site with 3-dimensional images, manage difficult cases, perform complicated techniques, shorten surgery time by 70-80% in comparison to traditional laparoscopic surgery.

Especially, the new system has the fluorescence lighting for the detection of cancerous tumor and the number of invasive lymph nodes to be removed in the surgery, improving the effectiveness of treatment for cancer patients and prolonging time and quality of life.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hiep, 3D laparoscopic surgery was deployed for the first time in 2015 in the form of a trial, familiarizing with the new machine system to routinely deploy in treating from the common pathology to cancer disease. Thereby, it has been proved superiority, contributing to the improvement of high-tech endoscopic surgery in Hue Central Hospital.

It is known that the 3D endoscopy system is not only equipped for Hue Central Hospital but also invested in the Center of International Treatment, and Institution 2 of Central Hue Hospital in Phong Dien to provide medical treatment for people in the Central region and from all over the country.
