Promoting an inclusive society for the advancement of the community

HNN.VN - This was the theme of a seminar held on the morning of November 29 by the City Association for People with Disabilities - Support for People with Disabilities and Orphans, in response to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3).

The theme emphasizes that inclusion is not merely a goal for persons with disabilities, but a foundation for the sustainable development of society as a whole. Inclusion begins with simple things: a more accessible path for wheelchair users, a lecture adapted for hearing-impaired students, or an attitude of respect and sincere listening in communication, to greater efforts such as changes in policy and law... When everyone has the opportunity to contribute and develop, the community becomes stronger and more humane.

According to the statistics from Hue City Department of Health, there are currently 36,048 persons with disabilities in the area. In 2025, the City Association for People with Disabilities - Support for People with Disabilities and Orphans mobilized resources totaling over 5.8 billion VND to implement assistance activities regarding healthcare, education support, improvement of living conditions, and livelihood and poverty reduction support… for persons with disabilities. Additionally, the City Association also connected relief sources to support people affected by floods in October and November 2025, with total funding of nearly 2.1 billion VND.

On this occasion, the City Association awarded certificates of merit to three athletes with disabilities who won medals (in the 100m sprint, 200m sprint, and long jump) at the 2025 National Para Athletics Championship.
