Over 30 officers and soldiers help locals repair houses with blown-off roofs

Quickly assisting local residents in re-roofing their houses 

Due to the impact of Storm No. 3, at noon on July 22, a whirlwind struck A Luoi 3 commune, completely blowing off the roofs of two houses belonging to Mr. Ho Van Hit (A Dang village) and Mr. Le Van Nam (Areo village) in A Luoi 3 commune.

Immediately after receiving a request for assistance from local residents and authorities, Regiment 6 dispatched more than 30 officers and soldiers who were conducting civil affairs in the area to coordinate with the militia forces and promptly help people recover from the damage caused by the whirlwind.

With a sense of urgency to help residents quickly re-roof their houses and stabilize their lives, the officers and soldiers worked diligently and responsibly with their utmost effort. By 4:30 pm on July 22, the re-roofing of the affected houses had been completed.

Mr. Le Van Nam said: “The sudden whirlwind completely blew off the roof of my house; many belongings were damaged. Now, with the support and assistance from the officers and soldiers of Regiment 6 and the local militia, my family has been able to re-roof our home. We are deeply touched and extremely grateful to them”.

As the weather remains complicated due to the impact of Storm No. 3, the City Military Command has instructed officers and soldiers of Regiment 6 to not only carry out effective civil affairs work but also closely monitor the local situation. They are tasked with informing and encouraging residents to stay vigilant and be prepared to respond proactively to all weather developments to minimize property damage.
