Yoga performances and competition at Hue Sports Festival 2026

Performing the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony at the 12th International Day of Yoga

At the square opposite Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, more than 400 participants took part in the celebration of the 12th International Day of Yoga.

Under the theme of ‘Yoga for Healthy Old Age’, the program began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a mass Yoga Protocol demonstration, artistic yoga performances, partner yoga displays, and a seminar featuring Indian yoga experts, who shared insights into the benefits of yoga and proper training methods.

A representative of the Embassy of India in Hanoi said that yoga has evolved into a global movement promoting health, harmony, and human connection. It encourages a mindful, healthy, and sustainable lifestyle while fostering a spirit of responsibility and service to society.

Also on the same day, the 2nd Hue City Open Yoga Championship was held at Aeon Mall, attracting more than 300 athletes, including 100 competitors and over 200 performers representing 10 yoga clubs.

The performance program featured group yoga routines and dance performances. In the competition, athletes contested five events: Artistic Team Performance, Team Flow, Individual Asana, Individual Asana for Coaches and Assistant Instructors, and Pair Flow.

The championship concluded later that afternoon.
