Through meticulous preparation and nutritional balance, the festival is expected to provide more than 5.000 visitors with rich culinary experiences, a sense of inner peace, and a message promoting a green and sustainable lifestyle.
Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang emphasizes: “Hue’s vegetarian cuisine has long become a cultural beauty rich in humanistic values, guiding people toward a green, wholesome, and sustainable way of life. The city leadership highly values cultural activities associated with community values, helping build the image of Hue not only as a heritage city and a distinctive Festival City, but also as a green, friendly, humane, and liveable urban center. I believe the festival will continue to strongly promote the Hue - Vietnam’s culinary capital brand to friends at home and abroad”.

The Vegetarian Food Festival - Hue Festival 2026 also carries profound humanitarian significance through its community-oriented mission. The entire fund of approximately 440 million VND, generated from sponsorships and visitors’ contributions, will be dedicated to charitable and social welfare activities. The fund will be used to support livelihood programs for disadvantaged individuals, provide scholarships for underprivileged students with strong academic performance, and assist vulnerable groups, thereby spreading the Buddhist spirit of compassion alongside the tradition of kindness that characterizes the people of Hue.
The festival will continue for two days, from May 28th to May 29th, 2026 (the 12th and 13th days of the fourth lunar month).
