Hue City's decision to focus on cuisine for its application to join UNESCO's Creative Cities Network is both a correct and fitting choice.

Hue has many outstanding fields to join UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). This not only promotes local cultural identity to the world but also provides an opportunity to attract tourists and investors to Hue. However, choosing which field to highlight the uniqueness of Hue when participating in UCCN is something that needs careful consideration.

These are 6 of 121 Vietnamese culinary dishes that have just been honored by the Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association (VCCA) as typical national dishes in phase I of a project titled "Building and Developing Vietnamese Culinary Culture into a National Brand Name”. All of these 6 dishes, including: Hue beef noodle soup, glutinous rice dumplings stuffed with roasted pork in sweet soup, mussel rice, banh loc (glutinous rice dumplings), vegetarian fig salad, and lotus-leaf-wrapped steamed rice; all are close to the gardens and paddy fields of the land.

After two previous festivals in 2018 (themed "The Legend of a Flower") and 2022 (themed "Lotus - Essence of Heaven and Earth"), the Hue Lotus Festival 2023 with the theme "Lotus Beautifies Hue" will be held at Tinh Tam Lake for three days, from June 23rd to June 25th.

Boi p'ruc is the name of the salt with leaves and seeds of the Ta Oi people in the A Luoi highland. This is the "divine" salt used for many dishes of the Ta Oi people on weekdays and traditional holidays.

In the old days, when most people suffering the life of deprivation and misery, the winter days attached to the boiling stoves of grandmothers and mothers. Up to now, when the life is better, the young people and many other families are keen on gathering around the hot hotpots, or spicy barbecues in the cold days in Hue.

On the morning of September 4, the People’s Committee of Thuy Bieu Ward organized this activity, within the framework of the 7th Hue Thanh tra grapefruit Festival in 2022.

On the night of June 26, the Festival “Hue Capital’s cuisine and that of other localities” opened at Thuong Bac Park.
