Huong An Rural Market - Mi xua mi som

HNN.VN - On April 26, the People’s Committee of Huong An Ward hosted a program titled “Huong An Rural Market” in 2026 under the theme “Mi xu mi som” (First sale of the day). The activity was held to promote local agricultural products, enhance the development of rural tourism, and spread traditional cultural values in the new development era.

Addressing the opening ceremony, the leaders of Huong An Ward emphasized that the program was a practical initiative to honor local cultural values and create a new space to showcase and promote the consumption of distinctive local produce. Under the theme “Mi xua mi som”, the rural market aimed at reenacting the rhythm of an early rural market - rustic and cozy - deeply rooted in the cultural memory of the local community.

Organized as a periodic rural market, the event featured a series of activities running throughout the day. The space for local produce comprised 5 stalls showcasing products such as onions, pickled scallions, corn, beans, and Hue specialties. Meanwhile, the food court included 7 stalls serving rustic favorites, for example Hue beef noodle soup, mussel rice, loc cakes, and Hue-style sweet soups…

Additionally, the program brought traditional craft village settings to life and hosted a variety of folk games, creating a vibrant atmosphere that reflected the spirit of rural community life.

A distinctive feature of the program was the use of a “ration book” payment system, enhancing the overall experience for participants.

The harmonious blend of the nostalgic theme “Mi xua mi som” with a modern agricultural model not only gave Huong An Rural Market its distinctive appeal but also reflected the locality’s new direction in linking economic development with cultural preservation. The program was expected to evolve into a signature cultural-tourism product, helping to effectively tap into agricultural development potential while promoting sustainable local economic growth.
