Hue - Zumba® Festival 2023 attracts more than 3,000 spectators

Hue Festival - Zumba® Festival 2023 within the framework of “Hue Sports Festival 2023” organized by the Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with Deetop Dance & Fitness Center, took place at the outdoor stage of Quoc Hoc Stele and Hai Ba Trung walking street (Hue City).

Although being held in Vietnam in general and Hue in particular for the first time, “Hue - Zumba® Festival 2023: Essence of Convergence” has attracted more than 3,000 domestic and foreign spectators after 2 days of performance.

This is an impressive number, let alone the fact that it is one of the activities with the largest number of attendees at “Hue Sports Festival 2023”. This has both contributed to the overall success of “Hue Sports Festival 2023”, and promoted the growing community sports movement.

Coming from the main office of Zumba Home Office, the expert Jarrod Tucker shared: “I am very surprised that Zumba is so popular in Vietnam and Hue. In preparation for the performance, despite the intense heat of summer, 100 children aged 5-12 and 700 elderly students were still full of energy with intense exercises. During and after the performance, not only ensuring safety, but the organizing committee and its members also created a catalyst for participants to get more and more excited about the festival. This has been a great experience.”

“Thanks to the zumba festival, I was able to come to Hue, which owns a peaceful setting, friendly people, and delicious food. I look forward to this festival being annually held so that I can continue to have the opportunity to immerse myself in the music, the land and the people of the Ancient Capital,” said Ms. Tran Thi Ha (from Lao Cai).

Mr. Phan Thanh Hai – Director of the Department of Culture & Sports, Head of the Organizing Committee of Hue Sport Festival 2023 – said: “Hue - Zumba Festival 2023 not only meets the needs of cultural exchange, physical training and community engagement, but also shows the potential in stimulating tourism demand through the fact that it attracts the participation of a large number of spectators from many provinces and cities nationwide and abroad. Considering these factors, it is believed that the event will be annually held.”
