Hue University awards 157 Nguyen Truong To scholarships to students

HNN.VN - On the evening of January 16, Hue University held the 24th Nguyen Truong To Scholarship Award Ceremony for its students for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Kinh, representative of Vietnam Health, Education and Literature Project (VNHELP) and Director of Hue Center for Humanitarian Education; and Dr. Bui Van Loi, Deputy Director in charge of Hue University.

At the event, VNHELP awarded 150 scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year to 150 students studying at member universities, the University of Tourism, and faculties of Hue University. Each scholarship is worth 200 USD (approximately 5 million VND), recognizing students who have overcome hardships and demonstrated excellent academic and personal achievements.

During this round, VNHELP additionally awarded Nguyen Truong To scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year to 7 students affected by recent storms in the Central region, with each scholarship worth VND 1.5 million, providing strong motivation for students to continue striving in their academic and personal development.

Based in California, the United States, VNHELP was established by overseas Vietnamese in the U.S., and it have been managed with the mission of supporting students in Vietnam to pursue education and improve their academic conditions. Since its founding in 1991, Nguyen Truong To Scholarship Program has been one of VNHELP’s long-standing educational support initiatives, providing assistance to university and college students nationwide.

For students of Hue University, this marks the 24th year they have had the honor of receiving the scholarship. VNHELP’s Nguyen Truong To Scholarship is a continuous, merit-based program: from the first award until graduation, students who maintain strong academic performance are eligible to receive the scholarship in subsequent years.
