Hue Hieu Hoc Education Fund awards 220 scholarships to disadvantaged students
HNN.VN - On the morning of October 19, Hue Hieu Hoc Education Fund held a scholarship award ceremony for students from Duong No Ward and various high schools across Hue City.

With the goal of supporting underprivileged students in their academic journey, Hue Hieu Hoc Education Fund - sponsored by Hue Entrepreneurs Club in Ho Chi Minh City - awarded 220 scholarships worth a total of VND 168 million for the 2025-2026 school year. The recipients include students from Duong No Ward and the following high schools: Phan Dang Luu, Hai Ba Trung, Quoc Hoc – Hue, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Phong Dien, Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Tam Giang, and Tran Van Ky.
Founded over 19 years ago, the Hue Hieu Hoc Education Fund has served as a bridge of compassion, connecting the hearts of expatriate Hue natives with the young generation in their homeland. Thousands of scholarships have been awarded, empowering many hardworking students from disadvantaged backgrounds to overcome challenges and pursue their academic and career aspirations.

According to Mr. Vo Khac Hoc, Executive Vice Director of the Hue Hieu Hoc Education Fund and President of the Hue Entrepreneurs Club in Ho Chi Minh City, the scholarships are more than just financial support - they represent the heartfelt trust and hope of expatriate Hue natives, who wish to contribute to nurturing the next generation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, expressed appreciation for the meaningful contributions of Hue entrepreneurs living away from home. He emphasized that this is a profoundly humanitarian initiative that helps foster a culture of learning and social responsibility within the community.
On this occasion, the Hue Entrepreneurs Club in Ho Chi Minh City also donated VND 50 million to the Fund for the Poor of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Hue City. In response to the committee’s call for support, the Club contributed an additional VND 30 million to aid northern provinces affected by recent storms and floods.
