Zhishan Foundation awards more than 600 scholarships to students

HNN.VN - On April 22, the Zhishan Foundation, the City Social Work and Child Protection Center, in collaboration with the Phong Dien Ward People's Committee, organized the first-round scholarship awarding ceremony in 2026 for poor students overcoming difficulties in Phong Dien, Phong Thai, Phong Dinh, Phong Phu, and Phong Quang wards.

 Scholarships awarded to poor students overcoming difficulties in Phong Dien Ward

In this round, 106 students from Phong Dien, Phong Thai, Phong Dinh, Phong Phu, and Phong Quang wards received 106 scholarships. Each scholarship is valued at 750,000 VND for primary and secondary students, and 1,000,000 VND for high school students.

Across the city, a total of 601 students received scholarships in this first round, with total funding exceeding 766 million VND.

Mr. Hoang Trong Thuy, Chief Representative of the Zhishan Foundation in Vietnam, stated that with the belief that “Education is the shortest and best path for poor children to become self-reliant and escape poverty”, the scholarship project for students overcoming hardship in Hue has been implemented by the Zhishan Foundation since 2000. The project aims to assist poor students, and students in difficult circumstances to excel in their studies, and strive to become good children and excellent students.
