The course was attended by staff, employees, and managers from 22 restaurants and hotel businesses across the province.

This activity aims to implement the directive of the Provincial People's Committee on strengthening the enforcement of the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harm in the province, as well as the plans of the Provincial Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms.

At the training course, a lecturer from the CDC's Health Education Communication Department shared a lot of information about the harmful effects of tobacco; the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms; and guidelines for creating smoke-free environments, etc.

Previously, a team of officials from the provincial CDC, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism, had conducted inspections to prevent the harmful effects of tobacco, and to create smoke-free environments at several hotels in Hue City. The creation of smoke-free tourism environments will foster the clean, civilized, and friendly atmosphere, contributing to promoting the development of green tourism.
