Officials and employees of Hue Monuments Conservation Center heard experts share about the harmful effects of tobacco and some models of smoke-free tourist destinations in some countries around the world; experience of Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, in implementing the model of a smoke-free tourist destination. This is a typical locality of Hanoi in implementing models and solutions to build a smoke-free environment and limit the harmful effects of tobacco.

After the training session, Hue Monuments Conservation Center will study, build and deploy a number of models and solutions towards building relics into smoke-free tourist destinations.

Smoke-free attractions are public places for sightseeing and tourism purposes without smoking, selling, or marketing tobacco throughout the campus. This is to create a clean and safe environment; ensure the right of non-smokers to breathe smoke-free fresh air; reduce the risk of fire and explosion; protect the tourist landscape; create a civilized tourism environment; attract tourists; and help reduce tobacco use, etc.
