In recent years, the city, along with its departments and local authorities, has paid special attention to children. In particular, children in special circumstances have received social assistance and care through various means. Efforts to prevent child malnutrition have yielded encouraging results: the rate of underweight malnourishment among children under five stands at 5,7%, and the rate of stunted growth at 8,1%. Enrollment of children in preschool has reached 93,6%, and the enrollment rate for six-year-olds entering first grade is 99,99%.

Alongside these efforts, child protection, care, and education have remained a top priority for all agencies. Activities promoting culture and recreation for children are regularly organized, with a strong emphasis on raising awareness about preventing violence and sexual abuse against children. Campaigns to prevent accidents, injuries, and drowning among children have also been intensified.

Every child who grows up healthy in body, mind, and spirit forms the foundation of a progressive, compassionate, and happy society. Therefore, all levels, sectors, and communities must act for children through practical and meaningful actions, ranging from health care and education to safeguarding children from all risks of abuse and violence. Most importantly, we must listen to children’s voices so they can grow up in love, safety, and with full development.

At the ceremony, the Social Charity Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hue City awarded 50 cash scholarships worth a total of 50 million VND to children. Vitadairy Vietnam Joint Stock Company donated 250 boxes of milk worth 90 million VND. Zhi Shan Foundation Taiwan presented 30 cash scholarships worth 30 million VND.
