Sharing experiences in implementing support and child care activities

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of November 27, the Provincial Women's Union, in collaboration with the Blue Dragon International (Blue Dragon Children's Organization), organized a conference to exchange experiences and implement support activities for children, adolescents, and women, as well as the prevention and combat against human trafficking, between Thua Thien Hue and Ha Giang provinces.

The conference was attended by Ms. Skye, Co-Director of the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation, and leaders from several departments and branches from the two provinces.

At the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Kim Loan, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union, informed that during the period of 2020 - 2023, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Women's Union was selected by the Blue Dragon Children's Organization to lead the implementation of the project on “Preventing children from freely migrating to work far from home and child labour abuse in Thua Thien Hue Province”. The project has many practical support programs for the community. In particular, it focuses on helping children who are exploited for labor, children in special circumstances, freely migrating children, and children at high risk. Through this, it ensures that children are protected, grow up in a safe environment, and have opportunities to learn and develop more comprehensively.

The project has undertaken practical activities such as providing livelihood support to poor households, helping them improve their lives and stabilize their income; implementing programs to repair houses and improve sanitation conditions, contributing to enhancing the quality of life and health of people.

In the period of 2024 - 2028, the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation continues to support the project on “Safe and Healthy: Preventing children and adolescents from freely migrating to work far from home, child labour abuse, and trafficked people in Thua Thien Hue Province”.

At the meeting, the representative of the Anti-Human Trafficking project in Ha Giang Province also shared the model and operation of the Anti-Human Trafficking Board and the inter-sectoral cooperation mechanism in implementing the project in Ha Giang Province.
