A highlight of the program was an exchange with exemplary families representing various family models in modern society. They ranged from multi-generational families preserving cherished traditions and young families sharing responsibilities in building happy homes to families facing difficult circumstances who demonstrated remarkable resilience in overcoming hardship and raising their children to become responsible adults. The exchange underscored the vital role of the family in preserving Vietnam’s cultural identity and fostering an environment that nurtures and educates well-rounded citizens.
On this occasion, the organizing committee presented 150 gift packages worth a total of VND 180 million to orphaned children from disadvantaged backgrounds in Hue City. Each package included VND 1 million in cash, along with a backpack, milk, and confectionery. The initiative reflected the Vietnam Women’s Union’s care and support for disadvantaged children, while promoting compassion and social responsibility within the community.

Through the message “Touching Love, Building Happiness”, Ms. Le Thi Thuy, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union, emphasized the union’s desire that the spirit of love and connection could be widely spread across all levels of the Union, every family, and society.
According to Ms. Le Thi Thuy, every family should continue to be a “loving home”, where character, intellect, aspirations, and a sense of responsibility toward the nation are first nurtured. She called on every woman’s union official, member, and woman to become a “model of spreading love and kindness” within their families and communities, inspiring compassion, responsibility, and civility. She also urged grandparents and parents to become role models through their moral values and way of life, while encouraging children to cherish family traditions, show respect and gratitude to their elders, and strive to become responsible citizens through continuous learning and self-improvement.

He also called on the City’s Women’s Union to step up communications on the 2022 Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control, as well as policies on population development and the promotion of Vietnamese family values in the new era. He urged the Union to work closely with the health and education sectors to organize training and counseling programs to improve knowledge and skills related to reproductive healthcare, enhance population quality, and foster sustainable families. In addition, he encouraged the Women’s Union to raise awareness among its members, women, and married couples about the importance of maintaining replacement-level fertility, addressing the imbalance in the sex ratio at birth, and adapting to population ageing. He also called for greater efforts to encourage couples in low-fertility areas to have two children before the age of 35.
