Offering incense in commemoration of the 65th death anniversary of Ung Binh Thuc Gia Thi
HNN.VN - Ung Binh Thuc Gia Thi (1877 - 1961) was “a gifted talent renowned across the country, illustrious in poetry, and highly accomplished in dramatic arts”. He was an intellectual born on March 9, 1877, in Vy Da village, into a royal family of the Nguyen Dynasty.

On the morning of April 5, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of his passing (1961 - 2026), Hue City Museum of History, in coordination with relevant units, organized a flower and incense offering ceremony at the Ung Binh historical site at Chau Huong Vien (Alley 355, Nguyen Sinh Cung Street, My Thuong Ward, Hue City).
Previously, an incense offering ceremony was also held at his tomb, located on Nguyen Thi Dinh Street, Thuy Xuan Ward.
His great legacy extends beyond his career, manifesting deeply in the fields of culture, arts, and social life. Ung Binh Thuc Gia Thi is one of the prominent figures of pre-modern Vietnamese literature. With nearly 2,000 poems written in Chinese and Vietnamese, along with many outstanding tuong plays, he left behind a massive legacy, reflecting the depth of his soul, noble character, and deep love for his homeland.
Beyond being a talented poet, he also made significant contributions to the formation, development, and elevation of Chamber Ca Hue, a signature art form of the Ancient Capital.
