The training session was attended by women members from Kim Long, Huong An, and Kim Tra wards. The activity was part of the project “Enhancing Capacity for Gender Equality Implementation in Socio-Economic Development in Hue City”, funded by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation. The program aimed to strengthen the capacity of women's union officials and members to engage in policy consultation, supervision, and dialogue, thereby promoting gender equality in the formulation and implementation of local socio-economic development plans.
At the training course, participants discussed topics related to substantive gender equality, women's empowerment, policy analysis from a gender perspective, and methods for organizing policy dialogues at the grassroots level. The training focused on clarifying the key stages of policy analysis, including identifying practical issues, defining policy objectives, determining affected groups, developing implementation measures, and assessing available resources. Participants were also guided on how to identify gender-related barriers in accessing policies and services, enabling them to propose solutions that ensure women can participate and benefit equally from socio-economic development programs.
In addition to theoretical sessions, attendees took part in group discussions and practical exercises analyzing policies that support women's economic development. They also developed policy dialogue scenarios between women and local authorities and proposed priority topics for future dialogue activities.
