Enhancing capacity in gender equality and women’s advancement

The training course was attended by local leaders and specialists in charge of gender equality and women’s advancement at the People’s Committees of communes and wards across the city.

The program focused on practical topics such as: updating new Party and State policies on gender equality; skills for gender mainstreaming in local socio-economic development plans and programs; as well as methods of communication and advocacy to change community perceptions. Participants also benefited from sessions led by expert psychologists, who shared knowledge, interpersonal skills, case-handling methods, and practical experiences to enhance capacity and improve the effectiveness of gender-related tasks, thereby promoting the role of women in social life.

Through the training, officials and civil servants were introduced to new approaches, problem-solving methods, and communication and advocacy strategies for gender equality. The course also provided an opportunity for localities to exchange and learn from one another, contributing to more effective implementation of gender equality goals and women’s advancement in Hue City.
