Hue Festival 2022 is the first festival to be organized in the direction of four seasons of the year. Its highlight is the week of cultural and artistic festival at national and international levels, with the theme of "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development", which will take place from June 25 to 30.
Accordingly, main programs and festivals include the Art Opening Program (at 20:00 on June 25 at the Noon Gate Square); the Street Festival on the theme of "Cultural Colors" (at 16:30 from June 26 to 29); the performances of domestic and international art troupes (from 19:30 to 21:30 from June 26 to 29, at the stage of Quoc Tu Giam, the stage in front of Quoc Hoc High School, Da Vien islet, and the 3/2 Park); the Beer Festival (at 15:00 on June 27); Trinh Cong Son Music Program (at 20:00 on June 28 at the Noon Gate stage); The street program on the theme of "Ngàn xưa âm vọng" (“The echo from the past”) taking place on June 28; the procession of Tuong’s masks (Tuong is a kind of Vietnamese classical opera) , and Royal Tuong performance in Thanh Binh Tu Duong and Nghinh Luong Dinh; the program of “Hoàng cung giao hòa” (“The Harmony in the Royal Palace”), which will take place on June 29 at the Imperial Citadel; and a farewell music night scheduled at 20:00 on June 30, at Da Vien islet.
In addition, accompanying and responding activities will continuously take place before, during and after the Festival Week, namely the Cuisine Festival on the theme of “Kinh đô Huế với Bốn phương” (“Hue Capital and other places”), the “Countryside Market Festival”, the Hot Air Balloon Festival, the Hue Community Ao Dai Festival, the Trinh music program for amateurs, the International Trade Fair, the Vietnam Summer Fair 2022, the SUP Boat Race, the Imperial Citadel night street zone, as well as seminars, exhibitions, and art exhibitions, etc.
Hue Festival 2022, with numerous new and unique features, promises to be an occasion for visitors to enjoy the lively interference between tradition and modernity, experience the fascinating cultural and artistic colors, and immerse themselves in the space of an ancient urban with civilized beauty, where the quintessence of Vietnamese and international culture converge.
