The “Golden Heritage - A Convergence of Excellence” exhibition has the participation of 23 collectors with over 100 artifacts and artifact collections

The exhibition brings together 23 collectors with over 100 rare and unique artifacts and artifact collections crafted during the Nguyen Dynasty. The exhibits span a wide range of categories and materials, including gold and silver objects, enamelware (phap lam), three-metal bronze ware, textiles, ceramics, and wooden artifacts… They are presented over 4 main themes: ‘Royal Authority’, ‘Court Rituals and Order’, ‘Craftsmanship and Artistic Excellence’, and ‘The Enduring Splendor of a Golden Legacy’.

Each artifact serves as a historical witness, bearing the imprint of a golden era and embodying the artistic excellence shaped by the skilled craftsmanship of artisans of the past. Through the exhibition, visitors can explore and gain a deeper appreciation of the identity and excellence of Hue’s cultural heritage, which has been passed down through generations.

According to the organizing committee, the exhibition serves as a platform to showcase valuable artifacts while connecting collectors with the wider heritage-loving community. Furthermore, it also contributes to raising public awareness of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values in contemporary life.

On this occasion, Hue Monuments Conservation Center received numerous valuable artifacts donated by private collectors, including an enamel plate, an imperial edict dating from the reign of Emperor Thanh Thai, a wooden case used to store imperial edicts, and a collection of memorial documents from the reign of Emperor Duy Tan relating to the restoration of Nguyen Dynasty architectural works.

The exhibition ‘Golden Heritage - the Convergence of Excellence’ takes place from July 10 to October 9 at Long An Palace, No. 3 Le Truc, Phu Xuan Ward.
