The exhibition introduces 200 documents and images under three themes: "From the people", "The eldest brother of the Vietnam People's Army" and "The legacy of General Vo Nguyen Giap". The exhibition highlights General Vo Nguyen Giap's imprint at House and Tunnel D67, a revolutionary relic associated with the activities of the Politburo and the Central Military Commission during the resistance war against the US, from 1968 to 1975, at Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

During this period, under the direction of the Party and the Politburo, in the position of Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People's Army, General Vo Nguyen Giap regularly monitored the changes and developments of the battlefield in the South. He gave directions and orders which contributed to the victories that reversed the battlefield situation, leading to the final victory, the liberation of the South and reunification of the country.

General Vo Nguyen Giap (August 25, 1911 - October 4, 2013) was a close and excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh and the eldest brother of the Vietnam People's Army. His military career began in 1944 with the birth of the Armed Propaganda Brigade for the Liberation of Vietnam, which developed through each battle, each campaign, including defeating the French colonialists with the Dien Bien Phu victory, which “resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world.”

After the Geneva Agreement, together with the leadership of the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and the Politburo, at the headquarters of the Vietnam People's Army, General Vo Nguyen Giap continued to direct the commanders of the fronts and the entire army. Step by step, his directions helped defeat the political and military plots of the US and the government of the Republic of Vietnam, contributing to the successful liberation of the South and reunification of the country.

The exhibition aims to pay tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap's great contributions to the cause of national liberation and to look back at the heroic revolutionary tradition of the Vietnam People's Army associated with the legendary general.
