The exhibition presents seven vibrant and joyful paintings, immersing viewers in a warm and intimate atmosphere that resonates with the Vietnamese spirit and soul. These artworks were created entirely on an iPad, emerged from Casimiro’s imagination. Each piece is an original rather than being reproductions. Using an Apple Pencil - a necessary tool to draw on iPad, he skillfully crafted diverse shapes and color palettes, expressing layers of human emotion through digital means.

Born in Porto in 1941, Manuel Casimiro was awarded a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 1976 to study visual arts in France. From the beginning, he has been deeply invested in intellectual exploration and conceptual thinking in art.

In Portugal, his works are featured in Serralves Museum and Soares dos Reis National Museum in Porto, the National Museum of Contemporary Art (formerly Berardo Collection Museum) and Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon, and Sousa Cardoso Museum in Amarante.

The exhibition is open to the public until March 10th.
