Exhibition on “Traditional Japanese Dolls”

HNN.VN - An exhibition of “Traditional Japanese Dolls” has been held for the first time ever at Điềm Phùng Thị Arts Center from the 2nd to 18th of April. This is a co-hosted event by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and Hue Fine Arts Museum.

This exhibition features 32 traditional dolls depicting the gracefulness of Japanese ladies in kimono, and the popular characters in Japanese Noh and Kabuki plays. In addition, there are clay dolls and other types of popular dolls in Japan.

The organizers gave away a number of Origami Japanese dolls for those attending the first day of the event, with a hope that through this exhibition, Vietnamese audience could see a part of traditional Japanese culture as well as a spiritual culture of Japanese people.
