The event attracted the participation of a great number of locals and visitors, particularly children, contributing to a lively and festive atmosphere on the Eve of the Lunar New Year.
The festival featured a wide range of activities imbued with the distinctive cultural identity of Hue. A highlight of the program was the early-spring talk show titled “Hue Tet - Tet of the Horse” with the participation of Dr. Tran Dinh Hang and Dr. Nguyen Thien Duc. Through engaging and accessible stories, the speakers helped parents and children gain deeper insights into the symbolism of the horse in traditional culture, as well as the Vietnamese spirit of a vigorous and optimistic beginning to the New Year.

Additionally, Hue Tet cultural and culinary experience space, featuring nearly 30 booths, offered visitors various engaging activities, including book introductions, traditional folk toys, handicrafts, and Tet cakes, which are closely associating with the ancient family’s memories. Hands-on activities such as painting the Kitchen Gods, molding to he figurines, making Thanh Tien paper flowers, practicing calligraphy, and making traditional cakes not only provided a healthy playground for children but also contributed to the preservation and promotion of the traditional cultural values of Hue Ancient Capital.
Later that afternoon, the walking parade “Dung dang dung de - Welcoming Spring in Joy and Good Health” took place with the participation of over 800 children dressed in traditional ao dai. The young participants walked from Hue Book and Culture Space to the ironwood pedestrian bridge, promising to create a vibrant and lively springtime scene in the heart of the city.
Through the “Thuan Hoa - Binh Ngo 2026” Festival, the organizing committee aims to spread the spirit of community solidarity, inspire pride in Hue’s culture and people, and contribute to building Thuan Hoa Ward into an increasingly civilized area rich in cultural identity. The festival also serves as the opening event of a series of cultural and artistic activities to be held across the area from early February 2026 through the post-Lunar New Year period, catering to both residents and visitors.
