The ao dai show in Hue Festival 2020 will be expanded on the scale with many attractive activities

Hue Festival Center, a permanent unit of Hue Festival organization committee informed that the organizing committee originally expected to invite 20 countries to join the festival, marking the 20 years anniversary of the festival’s establishment and development. Up to now, because of the high number of countries registering and wanting to have their performances in this festival, the number of countries participating this year will surpass the initial planning.
Many countries have sent their troupes’ information, most of them are the troupes well-known in fully expressing their identity with high-class rank. Some other countries also affirmed that they would send their top artistic troupes to this event.
Mr. Huynh Tien Dat, Director of Hue Festival Center, Vice Chairman of Hue Festival 2020 organizing committee said that Hue Festival of this year continues to receive the consideration of France, the traditional partner at any time. Accordingly, France will send famous music bands which are familiar to youngsters. Furthermore, other countries will depute their famous ones, promising the attraction, meeting the diversified demand of enjoying art of the audience and public.
“Among the French artistic troupes, it is necessary to mention the Pop Rock band Fergessen. Fergessen band has the perfect combination of the two beautiful voices with inspirational lyrics and cheerful tunes. Since 2012, the two main members of the band are David and Michaëla have become the duo who are capable of stir up every stage. Together with the lively, melodious and elaborate electronic beats, Fergessen has created an energetic “Made in France” pop music,” said Mr. Dat.
Mr. Dat also said that the initial plan of the organizing committee was organize the music show of the Fergessen band at Independent Stadium. After that, because of the electronic music festival, the show would be moved to An Dinh Palace to serve the demand of vibrant and contemporary music of the young audiences.
For years, An Dinh Palace stage has been the destination of the young audiences, where music stirs the city. In addition to the music bands coming from France, the band Farveblind from Denmark will also bring powerful and passionate music, which is compared to “the noisy monsters on stage” to Hue. Rated as “The Future is Nordic” music band, Farveblind promises to take a strong and passionate boom in Hue Festival 2020.
Another band which is also expected to bring to Hue Festival the top performances is Backtrack, a famous American Accapella music band and the champion of New York’s Got Talent 2019. Using the high-pitched voice and beatbox skill, Backtrack changes the melodies from familiar instruments to the complete songs. This band has gone on tours at performing art centers, as well as music festivals, schools and so many other art events throughout the United States.
For the first time, Austria attends Hue Festival and it will also send its top-class artistic troupe, promising to give the public the unlimited audio experiences from saxophone of the Aureum saxophone quartet.
Promising to satisfy the audience
Besides the international artistic troupes, the typical troupes representing the regions all over the country, as well as the groups of artists with novel styles from Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Hue artists will also participate in this event. The Festival will be the “forum” to express the uniqueness, delicacy and diversity of traditional and contemporary art of Vietnam on the path of integration and development.
The opening program is always the most elaborate and large-scale artistic program. In Hue Festival 2020, the opening artistic program promises to be extremely imposing, where traditional and contemporary music are harmonized. The theme of the opening night will be “Hue is always new”, which is also the theme of the Hue Festival of this year.
Mr. Nguyen Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the organizing committee of Hue Festival 2020 said that Vietnam assumes ASEAN chairmanship for 2020, and there will be the ASEAN Night in the framework of Hue Festival 2020. The Southeast Asian cultures will be introduced through the unique colors of national costumes, fashion, and fanciful music.
“The preparation for Hue Festival 2020 is at its peak now, the maximum manpower and material resources are mobilized for the success of the 11th Festival, marking the 20 years of organization,” affirmed Mr. Nguyen Dung.
According to Mr. Huynh Tien Dat, Hue festival 2020 will have dozens of top art performances and special community cultural programs taking place in the big stages in Hue Imperial Citadel, An Dinh Palace and the stages in the center of Hue city.
Hue Imperial Citadel is the main performing space with the system of outdoor stages, gathering the special art programs; while the stages in An Dinh Palace, Ngo Mon square, Trinh Cong Son Park, Da Vien Bridge Park, and other community stages in the area of Hue city, as well as the performances of famous street artistic troupes will create the vibrant atmosphere during the time of the festival.
Hue Festival 2020 set the goal to keep on improving the art quality, as well as promoting the reasonable structure between the cultural, tourism, art activities and the higher community-based and more attractive, novel festivals.
