This is the 29th time the Vietnam Fine Arts Association organizes the zone IV Fine-Art Exhibition (Northern Central Vietnam), which includes the provinces of Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thanh Hoa, and Thua Thien Hue.

Without limiting the types of art, the Vietnam Fine Arts Association encourages works that focus on themes such as history, revolution, national construction and defense, as well as studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style. Artists are also encouraged to explore and innovate in terms of form, language, and artistic materials, reflecting a unique identity while promoting national fine art traditions and selectively adopting the essence of world art, while holding high artistic and ideological value.

This year, there are 49 artists from Hue with 66 artworks. Among them, 23 are members of the Central Fine Arts Association based in Hue, and 26 are members of the Thua Thien Hue Fine Arts Association. The artworks closely follow the exhibition's themes and are expressed through a variety of mediums including intaglio printing, embossed printing on Fabiano paper, oil painting, lacquer, acrylic, wood, welded iron, stone, and mixed graphics.

The zone IV Fine-Art Exhibition will take place from August 18th to September 2nd at the Exhibition - Fair - Advertising Center of Thanh Hoa province and the Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station.

As most of the artisans from the old days have nearly disappeared, the hands of this woman in her fifties have become a place where a craft once closely associated with the royal art of Hue is being preserved.
