Showcase of 48 new artworks at Hue College of Arts

TTH.VN - The fine art exhibition celebrating the Vietnam Fine Arts Traditional Day (December 10) has been kickstarted on the afternoon of December 10 at the College of the Arts. The showcase is co-organized by Thua Thien Hue Union of Literature and Arts Associations (ULAA), Thua Thien Hue Fine Arts Association (FAA), Vietnam Fine Arts Association in Hue, and Hue College of Arts.

The gallery is a convergence of diverse genres, materials, and expression styles

As a rendezvous of the most typical works of artists and sculptors after one year of creation, the exhibition presents 48 artworks from 48 members of the associations to the public. Most of these works are newly composed and vary in types, including paintings, graphics, and sculptures … while their materials are diverse in genres, namely acrylic, oil paint, lacquer, synthetic materials, pen-nibs, watermarks paintings, copper canvas or terracotta composite.

Also, FAA took this occasion to present their annual fine art awards for the three artworks: “Nắng sau vườn" (The sunlight in the back garden) by Pham Hoang Anh (painter), "Giai điệu mùa xuân” (Spring melody) by Nguyen Duc Huy (painter), and “Hạt chuyển động” (Moving particles) by Le Ngoc Thai (sculptor). Meanwhiles, the two artworks “Giấy tiền vàng bạc” (Paper money and gold) by Vo Thanh Than (painter) and “Bão” (Storm) by Nguyen Van Tho (sculptor) were nominated to compete in the Thua Thien Hue literature and fine art awards 2019.

The exhibition takes place until 17th December.
