At the discussion, Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong stated that Hue has been focusing on expanding green spaces, preserving heritage while developing an ecological urban area, and implementing climate change mitigation measures such as reducing plastic waste.
Additionally, the city is accelerating the development of environmentally friendly public transportation, encouraging the use of electric vehicles and bicycles, and establishing pedestrian streets and green public spaces to reduce pollution and improve quality of life.
“The goal of the collaboration between Hue and Vingroup is to create significant opportunities for the city to lead in green transition and sustainable development. At the same time, this partnership will leverage Vingroup’s proven strengths in industries, technology, and commercial services,” emphasized Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, representing Vingroup, affirmed that with its expertise and capabilities in multiple fields, particularly in technology and renewable energy, Vingroup is committed to supporting Hue in implementing green transition solutions.
Through this cooperation program, both parties pledged to develop effective solutions to drive green growth, enhance residents’ quality of life, and lay a strong foundation for the city's socio-economic development.
On this occasion, both sides also discussed collaboration in various areas, including green transportation, developing eco-industrial zones, carbon credit projects, digital transformation, cultural and heritage preservation, healthcare, and green infrastructure development.
