Hue: Striving for an increase of 10.5% in industrial production index
HNN.VN - On this occasion, the Department of Industry and Trade awarded certificate of merits to 8 localities and 20 enterprises operating in the field of industry and trade with excellent achievement in 2018.

In 2018, the index of industrial production (IIP) in provincial area increased 9,5% over the same period; export turn-over reached over 862 million USD, increasing 6% compared to 2017 and reaching 93,7% of the year plan; the total retail of social consume goods and services reached over 38,000 billion VND, witnessing an increase of 10% over the same period.
In 2019, the industry and trade sector strives for raising IIP index by 10.5% compared to that of 2018, the industrial production value will reach from 34,000 to 35,000 billion VND, export turn-over reaches 1,055 million USD and the total retail of social consumer goods and services reaches from 43,000 to 44,000 billion VND.

In order to meet those goals, in 2019, the industry and trade sector will deploy the rural industry development project and the industry restructuring plan until 2025; deploy solutions focusing on developing industries in depth, in which concentrating on attracting investment in the field of creating high value such as electronic technology, information technology and biotechnology and give priority to new investment projects using high technology.
