The agreement aims to enhance the application of technology in various fields, thereby improving the quality of life for local residents and creating new drives for socio-economic development in Hue City. Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Hoang Hai Minh - Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee and Mr. Alejandro Osorio, Managing Director of Grab Vietnam.

According to the MoU signed between Hue City Institute for Development Studies and Grab Co., Ltd., the three-year cooperation will focus on key areas, including: supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in applying information technology and digital transformation; promoting digital transformation in the transportation sector; advancing digital transformation in tourism by leveraging technology to promote Hue’s heritage, culture, and cuisine; and enhancing digital skills for local business owners, small traders, and residents.

To promote Hue’s digital economy, both parties will implement programs to spread digital knowledge, improve digital and language skills for Grab partners in particular and the local community in general - especially children, students, and those working in the service and e-commerce sectors in Hue. In addition to these key areas, Hue City and Grab Vietnam will also collaborate on other activities contributing to the city’s green and sustainable development goals.
