HNN.VN - On the afternoon of August 28th, at Nguyen Dinh Chieu pedestrian path (Thuan Hoa Ward), Hue City Farmers’ Association held the opening of the 2025 Agricultural Fair to introduce and promote outstanding agricultural products, OCOP products, and local specialties to residents and visitors.

Taking place over three days (August 28th - 30th), the fair brought together 28 booths from farmer members of 25 wards and communes, along with 7 enterprises and production facilities. The booths were creatively designed and displayed a wide variety of products certified as VietGAP, organic, OCOP, as well as food safety-compliant products, while also introducing innovative agricultural models and effective approaches in collective economic development.

The 2025 Agricultural Fair in Hue City aims to boost trade promotion and stimulate consumer demand. It is an opportunity for units, enterprises, cooperatives, farms, and successful farming households in the city, along with several others, to promote and find markets for distinctive agricultural and handicraft products and high-quality OCOP products. This, in turn, encourages farmer members to actively develop production and business, foster solidarity, and help one another achieve prosperity and sustainable poverty reduction.

This is one of the practical activities responding to the “Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods” campaign, launched annually by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City. At the same time, the fair helps introduce and promote local specialties to residents and visitors. It also provides opportunities for farmer members, enterprises, and production facilities to better understand consumer preferences, thereby adjusting production and business strategies to meet the market’s growing demands.

By organizing this annual agricultural fair, Hue City Farmers’ Association creates conditions for establishments, cooperatives, enterprises, and outstanding farmers to meet, exchange, and learn from one another, and to strengthen trade connections. It also provides opportunities to assess and compare product quality and design across localities, shifting mindsets from agricultural production to agricultural economy, thereby improving product quality, branding, and competitiveness in the market.

At the opening ceremony, the organizers also presented the third week awards for the “Farmers Compete in Production and Business, Unite to Prosper and Achieve Sustainable Poverty Reduction” online contest to the most outstanding contestants.
